Here’s a new filter list I found that one can use alongside other filter lists within uBO.
Let’s keep the web human!

Let’s keep the web human!
Hm…very opinionated and prone to potential abuse by ill PRs?
A lot of human verification needed on both sides and feels a bit dangerous to just sign up to such a curated list.
I’m fine doing the detection of BS websites myself. ![]()
There is already a troublesome PR:
The claim is an author producing both human-generated and AI-generated articles on the same website. Instead of specifying every offending article from the author, the pull request outright blocks the entire domain.
Alright, didn’t took long for the abuse to happen. ![]()
Nowadays there will be more and more nonsense abusing SEO and our precious time.
It’s fine, let’s move along and let’s try to focus on the positive rather than being fixated on the negatives and all the slope. ![]()
I looked into this more. Perhaps I posted this too hastily. But yeah, you’re right.
It’s fine I understand the cool initial intent haha. Everybody is tired of all of this stuff as of lately… ![]()
No magic solution besides curated self-made RSS feeds I guess. ![]()
RSS is still the greatest. And email newsletters if you can organize your inbox well and keep maintaining it simply.
These two are best for all your news.
If you want to do something good, then do it yourself.
What kind of abuse? Blocking wrong site? Or using JS rules?
But I better get some false-positive that waste my time on AI slop.
It will be even better if that links will be removed from search engines too (not only page block)
And even more needed is some kind of list to filter out youtube AI slop
Yes but not everybody is a professional developer.
When an AI agent will start submitting PRs blocking all human websites, one of many potential easy-to-achieve abuses.
You should know by now which ones are nice websites and which ones are sloppy.
Very opinionated and pretty much impossible to achieve in an impartial and censor-free way.
Simply use your “Subscriptions” tab only and follow only the people you like rather than some recommendations. ![]()
Heh. I don’t have youtube account for privacy reasons
If you have NewPipe or alike, just having local channels is enough (or even RSS feeds). ![]()
One of the main risk of blocking lists has always been censorship potential. Blocking non-malicious sites generally isn’t a good idea. This should be integrated at a search engine / platform level.
Like DuckDuckGo has started for images (AI filter), they could do for websites.
Same for social media. There is already a Bluesky labeller that highlights automated accounts, and hopefully Bluesky gives some way to user to add links blocklists
Censorship from third-party search engines and social media platforms are also prone to significant abuse.
It should be optional, and allows to customise whether you want to hide or just warn, like Bluesky does. But yes.
Untill it implemented in search engines, we have no other choices. Only workarounds like UBo blocklists
