Short description
This is a RSS feed app for iOS that meets the criteria specified on the recommendations page.
Why I think this tool should be added
I feel like it has a nicer interface and usability than NetNewsWire, while also meeting the criteria specified on the aggregators page. It is also listed on Open RSS RSS Feed Readers - Open RSS with some other features. Also, NetNewsWire seem to get blocked by some sites according to Open RSS (see link above).
If it is also not web based, it is locking users in and on the operating systems/devices it is offered on and therefore limiting the way people may want to use it.
I am not a fan of services that only provide apps with no web interface.
It supports exporting .opml files, so that you can import it elsewhere on another device or client. Also IIRC, NetNewsWire suffers from the same issue, if that’s the case
Sync is not capable though right, since if I do export and import - I’ll have to keep doing that on each OS i use RSS between the different clients since there is no web interface of this particular client.
My original point still stands.
Not if you use another service with it like BazQux or Feedbin.
Yeah, not really. However, so does NNW if you don’t want to create additional accounts, use iCloud or selfhost. The main advantage of NNW in comparison is the ability to selfhost, which i believe gives it an edge over Twine. Having said that, I can’t see why not suggest both. My main point here is that Twine has a nicer interface that supports previews on iOS, which the latter lacks. Haven’t tested it on a Mac though. Also, NNW suffers from being blocked from some Open RSS feeds on some conditions. NetNewsWire users are blocked from Open RSS feeds due to excessive requests - Open RSS
