Why wouldn’t you send it before you go to sleep?
Because many people and companies are far more likely to respond to emails when they are received early in the morning, within the first two hours that they have started working. If you send it the night before it is going to be buried under emails that other people sent in the morning. It’s less likely to get prioritized if you want it to be read and get a swift response.
At one of my previous jobs, I sometimes used to work very late, especially when I started, because I was slow. When my boss saw thing she asked of me were sent at 2, 3, 4 o’clock in the morning, she called me into office to tell me that I shouldn’t work this late. It would have been smarter for me to have those emails scheduled to be sent at 8 am, so that my boss wouldn’t find out about when I actually completed the work.
