its a fun well-written article but it reads more like a preamble to the premise. I had gone in expecting to read about the authors experience installing linux but, its more about the reasoning behind why they want to install linux, and their past experiences with linux. Only at the bottom of the article do you learn what distro the author plans to use or what the specs of the computer they plan to use are.
Are they going to be installing it on the PC they built a few years back?
If you read the article, the author is doing this to their own computer and is talking about why.
They are referring to this old video by The Verge on how to “build” a PC.
I see someone linked the original video. Here’s a reaction video where people explain what’s wrong if you’ve never built a PC. The reaction video is also pretty funny if you need a laugh.
oh the PTSD in this.
even the host actually tried to correct course, aand if im not mistaken to this day he’s still harassed for it
when he appeared on LTT he did correct course I suppose but yeah.
Why this link has parameters in weird order?

Probably because I copied the link on my phone. I assume the app has a different order than the website.
I don’t use YT (app or website), so I was just being curious ![]()
