Tailscale vs. Netbird which is better?

I want to make a LAN connection between two PCs with no docker selfhosting shit but only a simple connection so we can play some local co-op games, So in the terms of privacy, security and usability which one of them is better, Tailscale or Netbird?

Tailscale is easy enough to my liking but I do not know which one is more performant when it comes to latency/ping.

I don’t think any of them are particularly foccused on privacy. Tailscale however has mullvad integration which can be neat and given that Netbird doesnt even give you an option to decline tracking cookies I think this is easily answered.

The availability is limited only to certain countries for some reason. They aren’t available to my country.

You don’t need an “overlay network” to connect two PCs on the same LAN.

If the gaming rigs were on different LANs, you might need an overlay network but you should probably use something less involved like Wireguard or OpenVPN.

As @harsh noted. If the computers are on the same local network you won’t need anything like Tailscale or Netbird.
