Gotta eat my words. It doesn’t work with AdGuard and VPN. Or well, it works, but not when you select “Fastest Country”. It always leaks DNS then. Over a couple of days, I tried all possible bootstrap IPs and tried to block everything except AdGuard’s bootstrap IPs and ports with a firewall. It only helped with the leaks for a moment at best. Now I’m back to NextDNS and I’m definitely not switching again anytime soon..

According to @ameshkov (AdGuard co-founder), it is not a leak, this is AdGuard DNS retrying a failed request: : Try to improve the fallback approach · Issue #654 · AdguardTeam/AdGuardDNS · GitHub
dnscheck.tools’s nameservers fail to respond correctly in some locations so they re-request it using a fallback.
