It appears Startpage have silent launched their own privacy focused AI service, similar to those of DuckDuckGo and Proton. They call it Vanish.
Website: https://vanish.startpage.com/
Google Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.privateai
Apple App Store: Vanish - Private AI App - App Store
Terms of Service: https://vanish.startpage.com/en/terms/
Privacy Policy: https://vanish.startpage.com/en/privacy-policy/
P.S. The name change hasn’t been reflected on their android app store listing/inside the app yet. It was simply called Startpage AI before, at the time of the writing.

Looking at the main site it’s more similar to https://duck.ai except in a bummer state of things, there is no web app…
Now taking a look at the privacy policy, it’s honestly weird.

Does they even offer it there? I only see link to their apps.
Requiring an app to use a cloud-based negates any privacy benefits, as you can’t be “anonymous”
For people reading and learning about this, NanoGPT is still a better option to go with. This one doesn’t offer anything special from what I see in the privacy policy. As always, never use PII in your queries with any LMM unless fully offline through a tool you trust.

I mean de-googled GrapheneOS. No Google Play Services.

No web app seems bizarre for a project like this. Especially when something like duck.ai exists and even offers Zero Provider Visibility model options: How does Duck.ai protect my privacy? - DuckDuckGo Help Pages
Had a quick play. Unless you pay the amount of chats you get per day is very small
