I’ve recently moved to Win 11 and find Smart App Control blocking the opening of Tor Browser. Is there a workaround other than disabling smart app control?
In my opinion, nothing should stop one from opening Tor. And while I don’t use Windows so don’t know what that is, do disable it if you don’t find another option.
I’m not a fan of Windows 11. The amount of de-crapifiying and tweaking to make it more quiet is over the top. Now Microsoft cloud gate-keeping is keeping me from using the programs I want.
If there wasn’t a workaround for the Microsoft account requirement I would have just installed a Linux distribution and been done with it. Probably will be doing that soon anyway.
I haven’t seen anyone reporting this issue anywhere so I thought I would try here.
Yes do this, and then problem solved.
I agree, no one likes Windows 11. Atleast on this forum.
Well, people who know to use and when to use Tor know they will have to make changes to use it and they do. Hence, not an issue per se really.
