Hello! I am experiencing issues with Molly and also Signal on GOS. When I try to register the device and enter my PIN, it gets stuck on the spinny wheel forever and does not go past. Before this, when I was still able to successfully install it, I received an error message saying that my contacts cannot be synched, rendering Signal pretty much useless as I wouldn’t be able to send any messages unless my contact messages me first. I tried to replicate the issue and it occurs in the same way on Android (OxygenOS and Pixel OS) but not on iOS. I tried everything from clearing cache, uninstalling/reinstalling and even deleting my Signal account and registering again but to no avail. Has anyone else experienced this issue or does anyone have any suggestions?
Strange. No idea. Try to contact Signal instead on socials or with this form.
Is your OS up to date ? Try enabling GrapheneOS’ compatibility mode. Maybe try on another network (other WiFi, 4G).
I tried to contact Signal numerous times but no one got back to me. I don’t think it’s a GrapheneOS issue as the same issue occurs in Pixel OS and Oxygen OS but not on iOS.
What DNS are you using?
Private DNS via Next DNS
Try if the problem goes away by switching to 1.1.1.1 for a moment.

You can ask the Signal Community forum if switching your network and DNS doesn’t work.
