I would encourage people to use Veracrypt instead, an open-source encryption software. Windows Bitlocker, like Windows itself, is closed-source and has had several vulnerabilities.
+1 . I recall seeing a lot of forensic experts saying bitlocker with pin and/or startup key is a no go. If recovery key is disabled on top of that then it’s a complete no go. Most of the vulnerabilities mentioned only apply to TPM-only protector.
