Hi everyone, what would you think of the projector Hisense PL2 in terms of Privacy? It has GoogleTV built-in, but I’m thinking I could configure it.
Thoughts?
First time I’ve heard of a projector with “smart features” its really surveillance capitalism taking root in everything. It disgusts me.
Anyway, you can try to search for the specific model if it works without internet or if people complain if it is glitchy without internet.
Honestly no reason why it shouldn’t. If it is still within return period and you’ve already bought it and you are having issues, I’d return it.

Same as a smart TV - never, EVER let it touch the internet and run all video through a secured device and HDMI cable.

Yep. I checked and all the 4K projectors pretty much comes with “smart” features. I did a whole setup with projector to get away from that and now it’s being forced fed onto me.
I guess I’ll just not enable the internet connection.
I might return as well, I’ll see!
