Hello,
I have to admit, I liked the integration between the products of Google, like when you book a flight and you receive the email, your calendar will be updated.
And I was wondering if there are privacy respecting providers that does the same?
I am using Mailbox, for now I noticed that they only update the calendar when accepting a Microsoft Team meeting. But nothing else.
It would require scanning your email content, so I don’t think any privacy oriented provider would do it in their native calendar. Only invites and ics files will work. Maybe some email client like thunderbird can help?
An alternative (not privacy friendly though) would be to forward the event mails to a gmail ID and then sync that calendar with the privacy mail provider’s calendar. But this is added work
Thank you.
A client-side scanning would be great. As far as I understand, Thunderbird (desktop version) uses ics files, so it does not make much difference if I have to download the ics and add it manually also on Android.
Unfortunately not every service booking provides a ics. Which means manually adding the entries.
