Privacy-preserving meeting-summarizing tool?

Hey everyone!

Is there any solution that provides some AI agent that can be run locally or some kind of solution with which you can get one of this AI/bots that summarize the calls you have?

Also, if any trustworthy company (related to privacy) has developed something like this would also be acceptable I guess.

Or if there’s any self-hosted thing that can make the job done that is not recording the whole thing and passing it through would also be nice.

Cheers!

Just a quick thought, if you already have the transcription of the meeting, then you can use applications like LMStudio to run a LLM locally.

I think the issue here is not summarizing but transcribing, which I don’t know any privacy friendly solution.

Ye, self-hosted LLM and downloading the transcription/recording definitely works.

I was trying to see if there’s a complete solution that doesn’t require me to do all the manual work nor generate the transcription in first place.
In any case, I agree that could be the best way.

Ideally, yes, privacy-preserving transcription would definitely be a killer one. But I haven’t seen anything remotely similar sadly.

Thanks anyways! It’s appreciated the good observation!

There are tools to perform speech to text locally, however what you need is minutes which means the tool need to identify who is who and what they said, with only a clip I don’t think there’s any tool on the market would cut it.

Therefore you will need a conference platform that provides a complete solution.

One possible solution which I never used is 8x8 for Business, you can check this out.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion. I was thinking a lot more on something that can be plugged into other platforms.

In any case, definitely worth considering. It’s just sad you need to surrender all your convos to random companies and know that they will treat the data as bad as they can, probably sell internal stuff if possible and also store it forever for training models or shit like this while they get hacked and suddenly all your convos are out there…
