Perplexity CEO says its browser will track everything users do online to sell

I feel like AI us just making Google competition more likely, while simultaneously more and more are booking it out of these ecosystems.

 anyone?

Also, this needed to be passed on from the internet.

I wish the Techbros really fights for the good of the internet and humanity vs the good of their wallets.

I don’t get how being able to say what this CEO says without cringing in the violation of privacy. I get people need to make money and whatnot, but saying your whole business model is tracking people and that is what they want seems wild and out of touch. Shows how normalized privacy invasive tech is.

Hence why I’m scared shitless reading the news that OpenAi is trying to buy Chrome.

I can’t believe they shamelessly state that, like this is going to be some selling point for their product.

For investors it is the selling point. But even for users many will make the tradeoff of privacy for whatever benefit a product provides.
