OCX - Secure Encrypted Texts/Images

I use this PWA that allows me to encrypt my messages before sending them on WhatsApp or via SMS. I even use it for some emails.

The encryption is done locally… no servers are involved. There’s an option that lets me activate a security key without which the message cannot be decrypted.

There are other features for the premium version, but the free basic plan is perfectly adequate for me now…

I wonder if there are many other similar tools; I know of a few.

please share the ones you know that will be helpfull

I could not find any info other than what’s been said here and the link to the website. Please share more info about this tool/project.

I don’t even know how this works (without signing up for it).

I made a throwaway account, and yeah this smells like a scam to me.

No information about how it works apart from “We use industry-standard AES-256 encryption combined with secure key derivation functions.” Just general vague information and no links to anything with only a simple support email adress.

Domain was registered 2025-06-14 (Oh bother, can’t link to results on ICANN) through https://withheldforprivacy.com/ so no info there. Terms of Service was last updated today.

And the upgrade payment link leads to Stripe.

it seems that it’s a fairly recent PWA which allows messages to be encrypted before sending them to whatsapp, email etc. The user who receives the encrypted message goes on the app to decrypt the message . The app gives 5 free actions daily. i’m using the free plan for now i haven’t tried the paid features yet which allow you to encrypt images from what I have read

thank you for taking a look, do you have any reliable alternative with the same options please?

For your phone or pc or both?

If you and the people you’re talking to are willing to go through the hassle of encrypting and decrypting messages through a website every time, then you’ll all have a much easier time if you just switch to something like Signal, or one of the other recommendations on the website.

If the ecryption runs locally as you say. Why would one need an account. Looks shady AF.

Generally i see no point in encrypting messages you send over WhatsApp. They already do that for you.

Given they do not have any info on the website, how did you even find this?

And you are even restricted on the number of encryption / decryption would can do ? That’s unacceptable, really.

I think you should not use this software, there are other software to do this, which will be easier, and free

i use it on my phone but i think it’s also possible to use on pc.

hi, two friends of mine are using it, I found the idea of being able to send visibly encrypted messages to someone by WhatsApp or something cool, so I tried it in the free version.

in that case use PGP, it’s the only best option for phone and pc. Needing an account for encryption is sketchy as hell
