O&O Defrag

Hiya,

What is the safety of using the paid O&O products?

Specifically I am looking into O&O Defrag.

Why not just use the built in Windows defragment feature?

You should use the built in Windows defrag utility:

I’m reading the O&O website and they say they defrag SSDs, this is really bad and will kill your SSD very quickly and doesn’t do anything to speed it up.

Maybe that is part of their business model lol.

If you buy O&O Defrag first and destroy your SSDs with it you then need to recover the files and buy O&O DiskRecovery.

In that tool you probably get an ad for O&O DiskImage to ensure that this won’t happen again in the future.

So it wouldn’t surprise me if they recommend SSD defrag on purpose.

But anyways: stay away from that tool and probably from all O&O tools.
