Not receiving verification emails from Privacy Guides

Hello! Please excuse me if this is not the right place to ask this question or if I selected the wrong tag!

So I’m not receiving emails to verify my email address here on Privacy Guides. I tried for the past 2 days to make an account with an alias but it won’t work. So I just chose ‘Sign up with SimpleLogin’ today and I could make an account with a new alias. Yet I can’t add password or authentication since I’m still not receiving any mail.

Generally these types of questions regarding forum signup, downtime, or other administative issues go under the Meta category, vs Questions which is intended for more general privacy and security questions.

In this case I moved the post to the meta category for you, but it would be good to know the distinction going forward.

I know the Privacy Guides team was doing some server migration recently, and that affected forum sign ups and posting for a period of time, so that might be related to your issue though I cannot say with 100% certainty that it is.

Indeed, it seems Discourse is not sending emails consistently. I’m not sure why since the connection to the actual email server works fine, the forum just isn’t submitting some emails. I’m looking into it.
