Moldbot/Clawdbot (Personal AI Assistant)

What are your thoughts on ClawdBot/Moltbot?

I want to hear your opinion on its usefulness and privacy implications.

It has too many features for it to not seem scary to me. I wanted to test it out but not sure how it would effect my privacy.

What scares you?

Its full system access. To securely use it security-risk free would probably require complex networking.

Plus I am not sure what data it sends out. What if someone were to access my ClawdBot (CB) instance through an integration and then run prompt injection on my own system? I’m sure I could circumvent these risks with proper setup though but I would still like to know more about it.

This is probably the most dangerous and privacy-disrespectful thing to exist as of today.
Not sure why would anyone use that kind of tool, ever[1].

Plenty of posts about that topic available (or will be very soon) like this one

A security-knowledgeable person knowing what they’re talking about. :+1:t2:

TLDR: don’t give the master keys to some random AI.
People really need to draw a line at some point… :man_facepalming:t2:

Next step is giving your bank details + house keys and responsibility on checking on your newborn child? All of that to go through their messy digital life?
How about cleaning it in the first place, old-school way: by opting-out from the nonsense.

Out of topic

for search purposes I’m also writing down it’s current name: moltbot

Thanks for this. Yea this is crazy.

I also updated the post to have its updated name, Moltbot.

Nvm it is now named OpenClaw.
Enjoy the weekly renaming. :+1:t2:

From the testimonials webpage it sounds like users trust it to organise their email inboxes and summarise group chats. Another user is spamming thousands of WhatsApp messages at an ‘unsuspecting person.’

Good times.
