Mobile phone OS and desktop OS suggestions?

Wait what? What do you mean propaganda? Flatpaks and Wayland in themselves are not bad at all.

Wayland is far more secure than Xorg will ever be. This is a fact and by design. Just look at the codebases between Xorg and Wayland.

If you are so against Red Hat/IBM, then you should likely stop using Systemd. It is maintained by Red Hat. If you are using Pipewire, you might also want to switch to Pulseaudio. Heck maybe switch to OpenBSD to avoid Red Hat entirely.

My point is stop spreading FUD. If you don’t like Red Hat for whatever reason, don’t tell other people to stop using there software too. Even though Red Hat has done very bad things in the past, they certainly have made Linux more accessible with things like Fedora.

After some digging and suggestions from the guys, I’ve decided to install Fedora KDE on my laptop (openSUSE Kalpa looks great but is in Beta) and GrapheneOS on my phone (the only viable option TBH).

Thank you all.

Security from high to low: GrapheneOS, iOS, macOS and SecureBlue

I don’t think Apple is a bad choice. Closed-source software does not mean that it cannot be verified as safe and private.

You can try desktop mode on GrapheneOS btw

FYI - This is highly experimental still. I don’t recommend this for production use but only testing to see what’s what.

GOS QPR2 pre-alpha is here, and Desktop mode is much improved. Still feels a bit rough in the edges. Had an issue with the graphical keyboard conflicting with Brave’s search engines list.
(Didn’t test it with a keyboard yet)
I feel like it will be fully ready for Android 17.

Great news. Thanks for the small update. I sincerely hope so.

Where does QubesOS fit in this list?

I’ve been researching GhostBSD and it definitely has potential! It may be better than OpenBSD for this purpose.
