According to WIRED, Madison Square Garden’s incredibly invasive facial recognition system has been used to ban critics of the stadium and even track a trans woman around who did nothing wrong.
Beware, this is at other stadiums among other neat invasive “services”. I went to a game last year and received an email shortly after with pictures of me during the game (including people sitting next to me). You “opt in” when you buy tickets (doesn’t matter where you buy the ticket). Very violating. It’s done by a third party that can sell your images to their partners. You can fill out a form to request to opt out. No indicator they actually do anything.
Also, some food stations don’t have people. You scan your card to “get in” then it tracks you and bills your card. American Express, credit card company, does this at events they sponsor.
