LTeX (Spelling/Grammar Check)

Website

Short description

LTeX is a grammar/spellchecker that bundles the open-source LanguageTool server, but always runs completely offline unlike many official LanguageTool extensions.

Why I think this tool should be added

Officially, LTeX supports VSCode and Vim/Neovim: Installation and Usage | LTeX - additionally there is third-party support for Emacs and Sublime.

Beyond text editors, there is a CLI method to check any text file that we could recommend using for people who do not use a supported editor.

Theoretically, the “server” version can also be used alongside any of these editors with LSP support, but I have not tested this: Tools supporting the LSP

Currently we use this in our official website development workspace for VSCode at Privacy Guides, and it runs completely offline as you would expect from a tool like this.

I guess might be easier but languagetool also works itself in vscode though.

Also I doubt a bit how useful it is for most readers. It is a quite technical recommendation.
