WhatsApp mentioned offering the same option awhile ago, but in my and some other people’s experience, they often ignore requests by first not answering and then eventually resorting to circumlocutionary communication, which gets restarted in loops every now and then..
Just don’t trust corporations in first place. Has always been a good strategy, now more so than ever before.
