If anonymous accounts are able to vote, I do not see any reason why they should not be able to flag.
Flags, unlike votes, demand the attention of moderators. Abusing flags could be more harmful than abusing votes.
Maybe Trust Level 1 or 2 anons can be the baseline for being able to flag?
I understand that privacy is tied with politics and I sort of hate it that it is the way it is.
With that said, blanket allowing anonymous flagging feels like it would be abusable. a Trust level 2 would mitigate some, but not all of the issues. It could arguably be a good middle ground/compromise.
Side rant
This is why I abstain with the narratives of right vs left because at this point, all it feels like they seem they do is distract you from other I issues that I feel are more important.
These days I focus on what is actionable (vs the distracting non-actionable things in life). A lot of things demand our precious attention and Iād rather not waste time on things that I cannot directly control.
Users can just flag posts using their actual account.
