Is Samsung's Enhanced Data Protection similar to Apple's ADP?

That’s cool but it looks like it covers a lot less data categories than Apple’s.

However, some large files, including attachments in messages, may not be encrypted.

So great to see but could be improved. Although I don’t know everything they sync in their services.

It’s moved like these that continue to feed my belief that Samsung is B tied when it comes to mobile security. iPhone and Pixel are A tier, Samsung is B tier because at least they do some things, and most Android phones are at most C tier because they just don’t put as much emphasis on security as other makers do.

But hey, with Samsung being the largest phone maker by units sold, that is a lot of decent protection that people can get, especially those who don’t have a Pixel available in their region or can’t afford an iPhone.
