Investing in the stock market privately?

I am wondering if it is possible to invest using stock exchanges or any other form of investing without providing personal information and how secure that would be

No. This is not possible. There’s no legal way to do this. KYC + info for taxation is always needed for you to open such accounts for investments.

Best you can do is invest in crypto without KYC (and even that is a pain to keep up and will not be cheap, and hence, not worth it after a while).

The next best thing is to ensure you enable 2FA and all other security features you can for your accounts using strong passwords and whatnot.

I know that some LLC (type of company) don’t require to divulge their owner (in Delaware I believe, but please check). I guess you could make investment with that company?

Obviously US specific, my two cents say that only a handful of other countries allow companies with hidden owners.

Personally, I don’t consider the stocks I invest in sensitive. But still, chose a secure broker. Check for past breaches. Also don’t go for the cheapest broker, as they will be more likely to have to make money by other means.

Yes, like trying to sell you different products with more fees, but if you already know what stock or fund you want to buy and stick to that, then there is no reason to not take the broker with the best fees. These fees can really add up over the years.

I’m surprised there’s no crypto company that has ERC20 tokens tethered to stocks.

The super-cheap broker might also sell your data to advertisers or have poor security practices due to budget constraints. I am not saying you should take the most expensive broker, but the cheapest one I would avoid. Or do extra research on them at least.

Fun fact:

you no longer “own” the stock. You merely have an entitlement to it. Read about that prior to investing
