I’m following PG’s recommendations for the latter two parts. I’m wondering if it’s overkill to have iCloud Private Relay on as well? In addition, for Mullvad, I’m using DAITA and multihop. I hope this isn’t increasing my attack surface area or make me standout when it comes to fingerprinting.
What are you trying to accomplish exactly?
What you’re asking about depends on that.
iCloud private relay is, in grossly oversimplified terms, a “VPN” exclusive to the Safari browser. You do not need it if you already have Mullvad VPN. No point double-dipping by enabling both.
In fact, this can ironically assist in fingerprinting if someone recognizes that you are using an iCloud Private Relay IP address.

Yeah, I’m not sure there’s a usecase of Mullvad + Private Relay that isn’t already covered by Obscura or Nym

I have it and think it could enhance my security and privacy? What’s with these so-called threat modelling questions like as if it’s not a legitimate discussion. I’m already paying for iCloud and want to ask. Plain and simple.
You can think whatever about what I said. Again, you were not explicitly clear about the rationale with which you asked so others could better understand your POV to respond appropriately or better.
Your incorrect inference from any of mine or other responses is only on you. I can only say or ask things as clearly. I have no hidden agenda behind any follow up questions. I genuinely comment and ask what I do and that’s exactly what I mean and nothing more or less. So thinking there is more to what I say or ask is moot.
