After browsering Element user guide and Element | FAQs | Help and customer support , I still do not understand what secure backup, cross verification and any other options in Settings/Privay and Security. They do not provide enough details for people to understand how encryption works in Element. Also, searching in groups is extremely slow and I donot know why.

Should I enable secure backup? What is the difference from manual backup?
It will take some time to get used to.
