are these apps really privacy friendly to use?
They’re fine. I’ve a few commits in their weather app too.
can’t fine any weather app from them.
Such probably needs a data share agreement or some sort of community hosting and significant CPU. Probably difficult for an academic group to take on.
The major weather services do burn a lot of CPU hours for modeling and probabilities.
given that it is just students at a university I guess it goes by which apps they’re willing to maintain, especially after they graduate
still nice to see such a long running project like it
