How much more private is Litecoin using MWEB?

With Cake Wallets MWEB how much more private is using LTC?

I understand its not Monero but, I am wondering how much of a privacy difference something like this makes compared to using LTC without it or using a different, non Monero, currency.

Coinbase doesn’t support it. That means it’s working as intended in my eyes :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I don’t know anything about crypto.

It seems like it’s intended to be an opt-in Monero? You still need lite coin but then you convert it into mweb.

From the litecoin org blog:

  • Confidential Transactions: Transaction amounts and address holdings are hidden.
  • Cut-through: Spent data is safely removed from the chain, reducing storage needs and improving scalability.

transaction unlinkability is still developing

So it’s only truly private if you are switching up the amount of transactions. Can’t buy $10 litecoin, move it to mweb, then buy the $10 lightly used iron man suit in the desert from the ten rings. But renting a $3 movie and getting $2 popcorn? That starts hiding it.
