How do I download Windows apps that are exclusively in the Microsoft Store?

There’s an app I want to do download that is exclusively available in the MS store. Even when you go to the app developer’s website, they make you go through the MS store.

1) Is UniGetUI (FKA WingetUI) a good solution?

It came up in my search results through a video I watched on YouTube. I’m looking for a GUI solution that doesn’t invade my privacy.

2) Is it better for privacy to avoid the MS Store?

I have always avoided it. I don’t like the idea of being tracked my MS. Also, the app I want to download is popular E2EE app.

What stops you from using the winget in the terminal exactly?
also which app?

They seem to have other install options listed in the github.

I didn’t know about that option. But even if I did, I absolutely suck at CLI. I find it extremely intimidating, so I prefer a GUI solution.

I believe you are correct, but would still prefer to not got through the MS store. Moreover, I have Skype on my computer. My Skype account has never been linked to MS email address, but since they got bought by MS, having Skype almost certainly means you have an MS account. I don’t want to take that risk. I know Skype is shutting down, but still.

Honestly, if you are using Windows, I don’t see any reason to avoid using the Store.
