Always paranoid about taking photos of private stuff out of fear of any of the big 5 seeing my pictures. And i’m not talking about nudes or anything like that but documents. I know i could use Graphene and the likes but is there a way to take a photo on a stock Samsung Galaxy s22 Ultra without Samsung, Google, FB or any other entity seeing my photos?
You can take pictures without it being uploaded anywhere automatically. If your worry is more about where it’s stored in the cloud - then I’d recommend Ente or Proton Drive so all photos are auto uploaded securely and privately. But not all privacy solutions are free and some things do cost that I believe are well worth it if you choose the right tools and set up your privacy life well. It doesn’t need to nor does cost a fortune though.
How? Just deselect syncing? I can trust that?
I don’t use Android but I’m sure there’s a functionality where you don’t provide access to your photos app at all to anything, even Google even if you are logged in on your account on device.
Then use Ente Photos or Proton Drive and only give access to either app for auto uploading.
And yes, you can trust it. Android is not malicious where it will still auto upload to Google Photos even after deselecting. Give it a try. Test if for yourself and see how it works.
I’d suggest using Proton Drive over Ente. But that’s me. Use whatever suits you best.
