Help Defeat Censorship - How To Run A Signal Proxy

Signal is a great option to protect the privacy of your messages, but due to it’s centralization it can be easily blocked by governments. In this video we’ll explain how you can setup a Signal Proxy to help people access Signal in countries where Signal is blocked.

We’re trying a different style of video this week with a video tutorial. Let us know what you think! :slightly_smiling_face:

Liked the video tutorial. Will the written tutorial end up as a written one as well?

Excellent! We need more people to run proxies for themselves and their circles. Privacy and encryption is under attack everywhere these days.

More tutorials to do more things in the privacy space yourself to mitigate or eliminate big tech and government overreach would be great to have. Hope you can make a few more.

I know self hosting basics is another one many would like to have. But the scope is huge there. Still, something here would be great to have too.

The video is not showing up for me on PeerTube, I use a different instance and it appears your last few videos haven’t federated properly.

They are really the champions for privacy, ethics and responsibility towards the environment.

Self-hosting is something I’d like to see as well. The difficulty in setting everything up is what’s prevented me from doing it. Just don’t have the time to research everything

Thank you for the video. This was something that I could share with my family as it had snippets of that explained some of the things very simple way and non technical way
