If OP asks on which phone to buy, I expect them to have some 350€-ish money to spare.
If you don’t have any of that available, then sure: use the best software available in town.
I would also consider saving a little and pulling the trigger on it when you can.
No rush needed unless your privacy is life-threatening to you.
But I won’t recommend a subpar solution if you’re opening your wallet anyway.
