Ever since mailbox.org switched their credit-card processor to Ayden, I’ve been unable to submit a payment. The credit card form always displays a message that says “secure iframe failed to configure”, or some such. I enabled all scripts from the ayden domain, cookies, and even webGL and canvas, to no avail.
I then tried paying using the bank transfer option, and while my bank tells me the transfer went through a week ago, the credit on my account has not been refilled.
I emailed support, and sent them a screenshot of the info I entered in my bank’s international wire-transfer form, and disappointingly, they said they couldn’t tell me whether it was correct or even whether bank transfers from the USA would work or not. So apparently I just lit that money on fire. Hearing that really made me start to wonder how trustworthy this company is.
They also told me they couldn’t reproduce the issue I was seeing with the credit card iframe, and suggested I capture all the traffic from the session in a .har file and email it to them. And while I can appreciate how hard it is to troubleshoot something you can’t reproduce, that .har file contains more info than I can comb through, and I’m not confident I’d recognize sensitive info in there if I saw it, so I’m uncomfortable attaching that to an email.
The idea of installing Chrome and turning off my VPN really gives me anxiety. And PayPal is completely out of the question.
…Which leaves mailing cash. Has anyone here had success mailing cash from USA to Germany? before? I’m a little worried trying this method will just be flushing more money down the toilet.
