If you have an older pixel device, the new Pixel 9a is anticipated to release on April 10.
This doesn’t mean that you should buy one right now since Graphene OS support will take even longer to happen. Expect some sales on older Pixel devices though!
Does this mean the 8a prices are coming down? I hope so cause that phone still has 6 years of life in it with Graphene and I can finally leave the walled [false] garden.
Most likely! They usually post regular sales when the next generation of devices are announced and/or released.

Btw, would you know if its possible to get your Pixel’s battery changed/replaced if you are running Graphene and not stock Android?
Alternative OSes/ROMs are supported if it does not cause the problem itself.
So, regular battery degradation should still be covered under warranty in most cases
I see. So, how does one go about getting it done? I know for iPhone, you simply go to Apple. Not sure how it works for Pixels.
They have the official Pixel Store but of course limited regions, otherwise many retailers focused on tech and smartphones sell Pixels, yes even EU ones that can ship to niche countries like mine or even the greece and cyprus market has skroutz covered. (and Pixel store is online only)
Of course like with iPhones obviously on the marketplace parts.
There’s also the used marketplaces like swappa (I was gonna say eBay but after the whole Data to train AI debacle, I digress) google offers official refurbish store like apple

At this point, lets all not buy anything and wait for the Pixel brain implant that is only X number of generations away.
I’m still waiting to see how the GPU goes with rhe G5 as the Choice that was leaked is kinda concerning and kinda will make me switch to apple which is something I don’t want when possible…
What is the concern? Is this only relevant for gaming (you said GPU) or in general (e.g. no improvement to the horrid battery life on mobile network with the Pixel 6-9)?
Relevant for Gaming, If the leaks is true then 1 core IMG GPU doesn’t sound great
but in terms of float point shown in IMG site it seems to be good? I guess it has to release to find out.
