What is a good Pixel phone to experiment with GrapheneOs?

I’m a lifer with IOS and Apple Phones. I’d like to experiment with Graphene OS and I thought I’d buy a Pixel Phone along with a cheap Visible phone plan.

But, I don’t know anything about Pixel phones or Android. I’ll be fine with loading GrapheneOS and I know what apps to use. But, what’s a useable Pixel model that will be relatively inexpensive but still provide good value?

Initially, this is going to be a test to see how I like the set up and I plan to use my iPhone as my primary phone.

Definitely a used 8a, 7a, etc since those are the budget options. If you don’t like it then no big loss, and if you do like it then it’ll get updates for years to come.

Pixel 6 has updates through Oct 2026 and 6a Jul 2027.

Find the cheapest one to play with. If its not going to be daily driver, maybe second hand will also work for you.

Second hand phone will have its issues but if its not really going out or have a SIM in it, it should be fine at home.
