Google is introducing its own version of Apple’s private AI cloud compute

Much like Apple’s solution I suppose this is the best that can be done within the constraints of today’s technology, but I still think we’re in a bad situation if society is going to collectively give up on improving local compute in favor of perpetually renting datacenter compute from our big tech overlords.
