Github contributions

I wanted to help writing a PR for a new page for an approved topic, but I don’t know how to start and I see zero help for new users on how to start (except the style guide, which is good).

This is definitely not good to foster contribution to the website for people with no Github experience.

Contributions of any kind welcome, including contributions to Privacy Guides outside of this repo, and contributions that aren’t content related (like sharing ideas for Privacy Guides, promoting the project, answering questions on the forum, etc.).

I am blocked at this step.

I thinkI heard once that users should fork the repo and then push their modifications to the main project so I tried to fork the project and it did not work.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

To write direct improvements for on the website some markdown, git and github knowledge will be required as our website is code based. You can find dozens of tutorials on that online for free.

If you are not interested in learning that and becoming somewhat of a developer, just stick to the forum to discuss your ideas to be picked up.

Please also note that we do not accept PRs without prior discussion unless they are small grammar, style or linking issues.

Thank you.

Yes don’t worry I wanted to pick topics that were discussed and approved.
