Email notifications on Android, FairEmail vs Tuta vs Proton?

Hi.

I am new here, but I have been a longtime reader. Very great ressource ! Thanks to all the contributors.

I would like to create an unique usage email adress to monitor a classifieds website only. That the only priority email that I want to follow on my second android phone.

So, I need some form of notification when I receive a new email (within a minute or so). Should I create a new tutanota email and install their app ?
or should I go with protonmail ( + App)

Or lastly, Use FairEmail with a 3rd party email provider ?

PS: The phone is running stock Android 13 and have no email app installed and no gmail use.

Thanks for any help.

Just go with Proton, it uses FCM, and you already have Google Play Services if you use stock Android 13.

FCM = Fire Cloud messaging ?

I did not mean android stock, I have no google account. I use Fdroid appstore mainly.

It doesn’t matter, you still have Google Play Services, which is all you need to take advantage of FCM.
