EFF: Introducing Encrypt It Already

Pretty reasonable asks all around. I’m surprised they don’t mention Google Drive and OneDrive lacking any form of E2EE, or Apple’s ADP not counting for contacts, calendar, and mail as well as not being the default.

I agree. I find Apple’s excuse for not providing E2EE for their calendar and email to be very lame after they tout how secure and private their products are. I can’t use them unless there is E2EE. I wish there was a direct contact for Apple that we can all use to let Apple know how important it is to have it!

You can always fill out the product feedback forms. If enough people write, they might listen. But channels with large enough followings should also make a fuss about it all Apple takes it more seriously.

There are ways to lobby. Takes time, effort, and coordination.

I wish EFF would collect and put the links for us. Like I said, Apple’s excuse is laughable. If Proton can make a viable email and calendar product, so can Apple. They have the resources, and I’m a huge Apple fan.
