DMARC reporting tool

I’m in the process of setting up DMARC, DKIM and MTA-STS for my custom domain. A couple of the guides suggest using 3rd party reporting tools to have reports emailed to for collection and analysis.

The one’s I’ve found so far are:
Dmarcian
report-uri
urireporting

report-uri.com offers 3 domains monitored and 90 days retention on their free plan, so i’m favouring that one. None of these mention that your data is encrypted in anyway though.

Any feedback on these services or a more private alternative? Is a service like this overkill?

Probably if this is just email for you, yes. How much email are you planning on sending?

it’s just a personal domain. outbound email is next to zero; only the occasional reply using simplelogin reverse aliases.

If it’s overkill, is it fine to just configure these records and not specify report email addresses?

Yes, that’s fine to not specify. If you don’t have outbound email you generally wouldn’t receive reports anyways.

I had good experiences with Dmarcian. If you care about getting your email delivered to people then I think it’s worth it, but if you’re just receiving incoming email you can probably avoid it.
