Cloudflare is blocking Pale Moon and other non-mainstream browsers

Cloudflare’s Browser Intergrity Check/Verification/Challenge feature used by many websites, is denying access to users of non-mainstream browsers like Pale Moon…

Partial list of other browsers that are being denied access:

Falkon, SeaMonkey, IceCat, Basilisk…

Tbh it is up to cloudlflare to whitelists them. Bots especially tend to use random user agents meaning that cloudflare can’t just allow every browser on the way when the integrity is on. I say tell cloudflare to add it. Afaik though, Firefox and Chromium based browsers work just fine with cloudflare.

Cloudflare controls so many websites. They shouldn’t be able to lock out people because they don’t use an “approved” browser.

Today it’s Pale Moon, tomorrow it’s Firefox, eventually only Chrome, Edge and Safari are allowed.

Cloudflare asks browser devs to sign insane NDAs before fixing browser blocking

Thats what I’ve been saying, cf is a monopolistic behemoth for low level internet same as google are the behemoth of public facing internet. But ppl everywhere kept recommending cf for registrar, for dns.

This was the only thread I could find where basilisk is mentioned. I’ve tried basilisk in the past but I had stability issues.

Is it worth using now?

Same could be said about Google, AWS, Azure.
If the Cloud infrastructure doesn’t have enough competition and one goes down or decides to shadow-ban you, not a lot you can do.
This is unfortunately how things are nowadays (and Cloudflare is quite a powerful actor in the equation indeed). :man_shrugging:t2:
