I’m surprised there hasn’t been any response to this—it’s a serious issue. If this kind of practice becomes common elsewhere, it’s quite likely the trend will carry over to Europe.
Also everything in Europe seems to be converging toward ever tighter control (ChatControl, the Swiss telecommunications law, the UK law on porn sites, etc.), so making this digital censorship exportable and accessible will only make things even easier for governments going forward.
What will the internet look like in Europe and around the world in 10–20 years? It’s very worrying…
