Can you recommend an information and call-to-action guide against ChatControl in Flemish?

I want to galvanize all my European friends and family to take action, because it really feels like this EU policy is going to pass, and most people are completely unaware of it, and when they are, they underappreciate its gravity.

One of my friends is Flemish, and although they speak and understand English, I know it would be better if I sent them links in their own language for them to fully grasp want what is at stake.

Also, does anyone know if Europeans who live outside the EU can do something?

The guide can be a video, but it needs to be super clear and concise, with links for calls to action.

They can as always still contact their representatives.

This is the only and the best website I know for this issue.

Yes, that’s the site I linked in my post, but it is not available in Flemish, unfortunately.

Thanks for this. I know it might come across as a stupid questions, but I see that this link is Dutch, and I wanna confirm, and Flemish and Dutch people understand each other’s languages seamlessly?

Flemish is a regional dialect of Dutch and they are fully mutually intelligible.

I think the regulation will pass in October. If anyone can do anything, this will be by using the right tool once the new regulation is live. If you take a look at the content ( EUR-Lex - 52022PC0209 - EN - EUR-Lex ) you can understand that if the tool has a design that is not compatible (i.e. decentralized tool) with this new requirements, it is ok. Best thing will be to identify those tools and start using them after October

You sound like you’ve already given up and are assuming that we’ve already lost the fight. There is almost 2 months left to fight. Let’s not give up yet.

I never give up. In our country we already have initiatives like flooding our politicians about this topic, sign petitions, raise attention on social networks, etc.
This is only for this October milestone. We must have a strategy to manage both situations (voted or not) that’s why mid October is not the end of the action. Planning actions is not limited to mid October, we have to anticipate internet with such regulation, and this is both technically and legally manageable, with different tools than what we have today.
The key ? full decentralization. I’ve just released the first tools to manage file exchange privacy (icansend.com) and call privacy (icanphone.com), a more global one is coming related to social networking.

THANK YOU! Glad to know you’re in this fight! I appreciate all the efforts that you do.

I just tried playing with the tools you’ve just shared, and for some reason they are not loading on Mac. I tried Brave and Safari on Mac, and the pages are not loading. Is that normal?

it should load, unless it is blocked by

  • a network tool like Fortinet and others
  • an extension (some antivirus can’t categorize the page)
  • a proxy or some VPN usage (servers cannot load the page - the page is not served to IPs that are from an ASN of type Hosting - this design decision is considering that going through a server is reducing privacy capability because the intermediary server can be compromised)

Flemish is basically just Dutch, or “Het Nederlands" as it’s called in the language. Dutch and Flemish is basically like British English and American English.
