Only way to mitigate this risk afaik would be to use an IP range that is hold by a more trustworthy provider and country.

Adding to that that obviously RPKI, and ROA help here but most end users cant control that. So mitigation against this is is not in their hands, they might want to seek to a IP space maintained by a more trustworthy body.
