Do you guys know of any brands with good track record of not adding anything spooky or any controversial/conspiracy discussions on their practices? I don’t care about any of their Self Encrypting (SEDs) feature, they are all insecure and fragile. Of course I need it to last and not fail like Seagate.

I like and use Kingston XS2000 series of external flash memory drives for backups. Works really well and is fast to back up my macOS after the first time you set it up.

I’m looking at buying some new premium USB drives because it’s been a huge headache for me to get the data off the average USB drives I’ve been using that have been failing on me.
