i don’t know if this question is ok, but ive had some questions for people who might be able to do this, and it’s been hard finding someone who can help find adaptive solutions, for example when someone doesnt have much money. finding trauma-sensitive tech people was also difficult, when someone needs a person to ask questions, rather than AI or written/video resource guides
Could you elaborate on adaptable solutions?
It sounds like there are special needs for trauma victims but I don’t think you’re gonna find privacy or tech folk who can provide custom emotional support while teaching computer tech.
I find this community very good at policing people acting like jerks to avoid scaring folks off and focus on privacy. So if you want trauma victims to feel welcome in a community while learning ways to protect themselves I stand by this community as someone who has a lot of tech community experience and survived child abuse and PTSD.
That said it’s not clear to me exactly what you’re looking for but I would recommend support groups if they don’t have the ability to pay for therapy. And in addition they join the community and read the guides and watch the amazing videos posted by @jordan And guides by @em
Hey!
I worked with intimate partner violence victims during my time volunteering with Cornell Tech’s Clinic to End Tech Abuse. Also attended quite a few vicarious trauma workshops as well. If you have any question, please feel free reach out to me via DM or email.
