Any good privacy guides on MacOS?

Hey.

Decided to move to a MacBook (from my Dell + Arch-linux) mainly due to battery duration and hardware in general. (I rarely exit the terminal, so not really interested on anything that targets visual/UI/UX stuff TBH)

I know I can definitely re-use some of my tooling/config of my linux-distro in it related to privacy concerns (browser, DNS config, firewall config… blablabla. But are there any specifics for MacOS that I should be aware of?

Like config options to deactivate or turn-off, things to avoid configuring or using, must-have software or similar stuff?
I know for example disk is encrypted by default, but in any case, I want to see if there’s any good guide that tries to cover as much stuff as possible.

This is the most comprehensive guide, imo: GitHub - drduh/macOS-Security-and-Privacy-Guide: Guide to securing and improving privacy on macOS

Privacy Guides also has a guide for macOS: macOS Overview - Privacy Guides

You can use Linux on Macs with Asahi. However, it’s still experimental and not all hardware features are supported.

Beerisgood has some nice compilations and recommendations to go through.

That’s what I use daily. The missing hardware features are not relevant to me.

The issue with Asahi is that for M4 nothing is yet supported. I’d be up for loosing features. But not all of them :frowning:
