This is for free Perplexity AI users without login:
Perpelxity creates unique URL for every chat so if anyone gets your browsing history they will get the chats too. If browsing data is cleared on exit or private tabs are used, closing the session clears only device data not the linked URL.
Duck AI and Proton’s Lumo stores chats on user’s device and it remains as long as browsing data is not cleared.
Its better to delete chat threads when not needed after the session or not shared with others. There are options to export chats to txt/md before deleting it.
