Someone bumped this up on my timeline again. Old article, but it always makes me question how much trust we put into the infrastructure underlying a lot of privacy solutions. Ultimately I think privacy guaranteed by tech is a game of whack-a-mole, constantly chasing moving targets. Long term privacy and security can only come from legislation and having advocates/experts in the government and bureaucracy.
